The Student Privacy Pledge was introduced to safeguard student privacy regarding the collection, maintenance, and use of student personal information.
We believe that child data privacy is a fundamental right and we are committed to doing everything in our power to protect it. We are proud to be a trusted partner for students, educators, and families, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that student data is kept safe and secure.
KOBI by design does not require a child to disclose any personal information to use it. This has been a conscious decision and requirement from day 1. Data that is processed and maintained is solely for the purpose of providing reading progress insights.
About KOBI Helps Children Read
KOBI is a freemium child-friendly app to practice oral reading fluency. It offers unique features such as:

About the Pledge
Parents need to trust both schools and the industry providing technology for schools. In an effort to ensure parents can be confident in how organizations use student data, the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software & Information Industry Association developed the Student Privacy Pledge.
