This isn’t just about KOBI entering a new market. It’s about opening the door for more kids, families, and teachers who could benefit from structured, easy-to-understand reading support in their own language.
KOBI was first developed in Slovenia to help children with dyslexia and other reading difficulties by making reading more engaging and encouraging. Its approach combines technology with reading support in a way that helps kids gain confidence, practice more independently, and feel less alone in their learning journey.
Now, that same mission continues to grow beyond Slovenia, reaching more languages and communities.
The move toward Macedonian localization reflects something very real: the need for more accessible tools that support children who struggle with reading, while also helping the adults around them, from parents and teachers to speech therapists and other specialists.
This next chapter is now beginning to take shape in Macedonian.
“KOBI го започнува својот следен чекор кон македонскиот пазар. Како словенечка платформа за поддршка на деца со дислексија и потешкотии во читањето, KOBI се подготвува за локализација на македонски јазик, со цел да понуди современа, пристапна и корисна алатка за деца, родители, наставници и стручни лица.”
Problems with reading can have an impact on more than just schoolwork. They often affect how a child feels about learning, being involved, and even themselves. That’s why early help is so important and why the right tools can make such a big difference.
This moment marks the beginning of that process.
As KOBI looks toward North Macedonia, the focus is on listening closely, understanding local needs, and exploring how the platform can be adapted in a way that feels thoughtful, practical, and impactful.
There is still work ahead, but the direction is clear: to make quality reading support more reachable for Macedonian children and the people supporting them every day. As KOBI looks toward North Macedonia, the focus is on listening closely, understanding local needs, and exploring how the platform can be adapted in a way that feels thoughtful, practical, and impactful.
